Trollwood is pleased to announce the artistic team for this 2011 production. Michael Walling, national stage director and educator based out of New York City, will serve as the stage director for The Music Man. This is Mr. Walling’s 20th summer musical for TPAS.
Mr. Walling has re-assembled the same artistic team that brought last summer’s acclaimed Trollwood musical to the stage. This experienced, creative team will guide area youth in staging The Music Man. Gary Reynolds, New York City-based vocal coach, returns as the musical’s Vocal Director. This will be Mr. Reynold’s 11th Trollwood production. The orchestra for the musical will be under the direction of Daniel Italiano, music instructor for the Fargo Public Schools and an instrumentalist with the FM Symphony. The Music Man will be the 20th time he has wielded the baton for a Trollwood musical. Aysha Upchurch will serve as the show’s choreographer. Aysha, a Washington, DC-based dancer, has been an instructor within the Trollwood dance department for the past six years, and made her Trollwood choreographic debut with last summer’s musical.
TPAS Executive Director, Kathy Anderson adds this comment: “We are pleased to have the continuity of these high-caliber artists once again work with the kids to bring another excellent show to the community. This core artistic team has been bringing award-winning show after show to the Trollwood stage.”
